Add what you know

This research is only as good as the record behind it, and most of that record is sitting with people who took the ride, drove the shift, or hold the document. Four ways to add to it. Everything gets checked before it is published, and everything published carries its evidence tier.

Before you send anything

Four tracks

Photos, receipts, screenshots and video go by WhatsApp, not through these forms — there is a button under each track. That keeps uploads out of a browser form and means you do not need an account anywhere.

1 · Ride report

One ride per submission. Partial is fine — send what you remember and leave the rest blank.

2 · Document drop

The single most useful thing anyone can send. Much of the published research on this subject rests on press reports rather than the primary document, because the documents are not online. A circular, a gazette page, an RTI reply or an RTA minute closes that gap immediately.

The document

A rough answer is fine. Even "not sure, but it looks relevant" is worth sending.

3 · Correction

Corrections are how a claim moves between evidence tiers, so they are treated as contributions rather than complaints. If something here is wrong, stale, or resting on a weaker source than it should be, this is the fastest way to fix it.

What needs fixing

4 · Driver earnings

The recommendation for a minimum per-trip payment currently rests on New York's numbers because Bengaluru's do not exist in public. If enough drivers send a day or a week, they will. Nothing here identifies anyone, and the published version will only ever be ranges and medians.

Adopt an open question

The dossier's unverified tier lists what is not yet established. Any one of these could be settled by a person with an afternoon, an RTI application, or the right phone number. Claim one and report back — you will be credited unless you ask not to be.

What does "prescribed meter" actually mean?Is it a Legal Metrology stamped device, or would a certified software fare display satisfy the circular? The compliance cost and the entire feasibility question turn on this, and no reporting answers it.
Does the 20 August circular carry a deadline or a vendor list?Nobody has published the circular text. An RTI to the Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety would produce it.
Has Karnataka adopted the July 2025 central aggregator guidelines? The Union advised adoption within three months. If Karnataka has adopted them, a fare band up to twice base fare conflicts directly with the fixed ceiling the meters exist to enforce.
How many autos recalibrated to the August 2025 fare? And how many fitness certificates were withheld for failing to. If that number is near zero, the current circular has already been answered.
Has any aggregator been penalised since February 2024?Not issued a notice — penalised, with a rupee figure collected.
What are Nagara's ride volumes now?It is the cleanest available test of whether the notified fare can attract supply, and it is going unmeasured.

What happens to what you send

This is an independent research project. It is not affiliated with the Government of Karnataka, any transport department, any platform, or any union. Submissions may be quoted, in the form described above, in future versions of the white paper and dossier.
